To those of you who don’t know who John McGeoch is, he was a guitarist with the Banshees from 1980 - 1982. The band released some of their most highly acclaimed material in this time, and I think he was a large factor in that.
He played on Kaleidoscope, Juju and a Kiss in the Dreamhouse. I feel the guy deserves a lot more praise than he gets
(he certainly deserves more praise than The Edge anyway). I’m going to go as far as to calling him the greatest post-punk guitarist..
So if you like the Banshees work from 1980 - 1982, I’d recommend checking out Magazine’s first three albums and Public Image Ltd.’s later work. A phenomenal guitarist and may he rest in peace.
Apologies for that tangent.
Interviewer: This is your second time in Berlin, what do you think of the town?
Siouxsie: Fucking horrible
Steve: I think the town is gorgeous.. But the people are fucking horrible
