I probably won’t be updating this any more. It’s mainly due to:

Running out of decent, rare pictures which haven’t been posted on Tumblr already.
Not having time.
Lack of interest to do so on my part.

The Banshees are still my favourite band of course!

I think Dazzle is a wonderful track. It’s certainly one of the highlights of Hyaena, which was a rather disappointing album overall in my opinion.

To those of you who don’t know who John McGeoch is, he was a guitarist with the Banshees from 1980 - 1982. The band released some of their most highly acclaimed material in this time, and I think he was a large factor in that.

He played on Kaleidoscope, Juju and a Kiss in the Dreamhouse. I feel the guy deserves a lot more praise than he gets ~~(he certainly deserves more praise than The Edge anyway)~~. I’m going to go as far as to calling him the greatest post-punk guitarist..

So if you like the Banshees work from 1980 - 1982, I’d recommend checking out Magazine’s first three albums and Public Image Ltd.’s later work. A phenomenal guitarist and may he rest in peace.
